Orlando Cruz KO Miranda rd 5 on SHOBOX 1/17

Both fighters were undefeated going in.
It was back and forth:
1st round Mirandas, fighters getting used to each other, Miranda was a bit busier and landed a few more shots
2nd Round Cruz did some good counter punching landing a few combos and swelling up Miranda's right eye a bit.
3rd round Miranda looked like he was starting to get into his groove, landing some good left hands and seemed to take Cruz out of his game plan a bit.
4th Round was more Cruz, landing some good counters and opening a cut on Miranda's right eye were the swelling was starting to get worse.

In beginning of the 5th round Orlando Cruz of Ponce, PUERTO RICO lays Miranda out with a beautiful straight left hand to the jaw. Miranda moved right into it, got nailed and went down on his ass and flat on his back. Miranda tried really hard to beat the count but at 9 seconds he was d****d over the ropes and the ref stopped it. Good fight, it was back and forth until the knockout. Miranda, the guy who had considerably more knockouts than his opponent, stalked Cruz around the ring up until he got caught.

Score another victory for PR over Mexico. Good **** for both fighters though. I think Miranda is like 24-1 now with 23 KO's. I'm sure he'll be back.
