The BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida will host pro boxing for the first time when Don King Productions presents a world championship card at the South Florida venue on February 14. Promoter Don King has dubbed the event “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre,” featuring WBO/IBF lightweight champion Nate “Galaxxy Warrior” Campbell risking his crowns against IBF #1-ranked mandatory challenger Ali Funeka and former three-time world champion Ricardo “El Matador” Mayorga meeting undefeated #3-ranked contender Alfredo “Perro” Angulo to determine the WBC’s #1-ranked mandatory challenger at the 154-pound limit; and another important match at 154 pounds with interim WBC super welterweight champion Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez will take on former IBF welterweight champion Kermit “The Killer” Cintron. King said he plans to have 10 fights or more on the card. Ticket prices and full event information will be announced next week. The BankAtlantic Center is the home arena for the NHL’s Florida Panthers.
