    Boxing Dying? Not a Chance!

UFC is here. Floyd is gone. Oscar and Roy are done. Many have been saying that boxing is dying. But I'm here to tell you; Boxing is here to stay. The line-up for early 2009 and prospect potential is superb and guaranteed to bring excitement to the sport in early '09. Let's have a look.

This weekend: Berto vs Collazo, hey, at least we got something to watch this weekend. Should be aight.

Jan 24: Oh Hell Yeah, Margarito vs Mosley, nuff said.

Feb 7: Darchinyan vs Arce, Damnnnnn!

Feb 14: Valentines Day Massacre - Angulo vs Mayorga, Cintron vs Martinez, Campbell vs Funeka! My wife's gonna be pissed that night.

Feb 21: Pavlik and Cotto comebacks, they're fighting bums, but at least we'll see how they perform after the beatdowns they suffered.

Feb 28: Marquez vs Diaz, should be a shootout!

March 7: Ortiz vs Harris and Kirkland vs Julio! prospect showcase, can't wait.

March 14: Barrera vs Khan! should be interesting.

April 4: Juanma vs Penalosa! can Juanma keep his KO streak alive against veteran Gerry?

May 2: Pacman vs Hitman!!! Superfight (hopefully)

So no, boxing is not dying, it is very much alive. And we're mostly talking about the first quarter of the year. This line-up is crazy! There are many other prospects out there that will step up this year and some pretty good fights that I didn't mention. Good year for boxing IMO. So good bye Floyd, Oscar, Roy, the sport will be ok without you.
