Donaire vs. Lopez Was Never On, Says Lewkowicz

According to international matchmaker, Sampson Lewkowicz, the rumored match between Nonito Donaire and Jose Lopez was never on. Lopez is scheduled, and has always been scheduled, to face Pramuansak Posuwan of Thailand on February 7. Lopez and Posuwan are the highest ranked super flyweights under the WBO. Champion Fernando Montiel is expected to vacate his title due his inability to make the weight. [details]

This is entirely true, not once I hear Caritas people or carita saying that they would fight Donaire. They always have been saying that he will fight Posuwan on 7 February. I dont know where Donaire or Donaires people got the idea that they where fighting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw him against Montiel and it was an entertaining fight. He gave Montiel a heck of a fight. Problem is that was three years ago, he's 40 and he has pretty much built his career beating tomato cans. Although he's advanced in age as well, Lopez will be by far the second-best fighter he's ever faced. But he's willing to throw punches in bunches, so you never know. He has little chance of hurting Lopez but he could outscore him if he fights the way he did against Montiel
