You could say the same about De La Hoya. Who's he beaten in the last 2 years?

De La Hoya's fan base was his leverage. In commercial terms, Hatton's fan base is unique. If it were just about the fan base. Hatton would get 70/30. 50/50 is taking into account the fact that Pac is the P4P champion.

And the key point is that Arum is saying Pac agreed to 50/50 and then reneged. Anyone saying Pac shouldn't budge in those circumstances doesn't want the fight to happen.

Sure, he brings in cash from Englad and that is his argument. But who is the draw in the US??? Nobody knows Hatton in the US. It's not about the money, to Pacquiao, it's all about principle. Give Pacquiao what he's worth. He's the lb for lb King. As far as I remember, King's don't equally share the pot with others.

Really? So Oscar was in ur opinion creme de la creme... as was Diaz... I wont even diss diaz. He had a belt. But The way I see it. Manny has feasted on mexicans. One style of fighter. Also, floyd was king & got ****d by oscar & didn't take the lion's share against ricky either. Pacquiao is an exciting fighter but it takes 2 to make a mega fight. Who else is there besides ricky? Floyd is officially retired. & JMM which isn't a mega is tied up. What's the kid to do...

He could put himself in a self-imposed two-year hiatus and still be rich

No it did 2.3 million worldwide, 16. million was from UK PPV.

No money is made wherever it's made, a dollar made in the UK is worth exactly the same as a dollar made in the US. In the DLH-Pac fight, almost all the money was made in the US, which is why it didn't make nearly as much overall as Mayweather-Hatton made.

In terms of the Hatton-Pac fight, 2/3rds of the money will come from UK PPV, like it did with the Mayweather fight.

He was basically testing the waters at 135, and while doing that picked up an alphabet title in the process. Win-win situation, IMO. Plus, they're both Top Rank fighters, so the fight was very easy to make.

Hatton can be foregiven for Lazcano it was a comeback fight. Malinaggi was the No2 in his division, and he can fight other 140 and sell it.
pacman has backed himself into a corner, his only options at 140+ are hatton and PBF, Cotto and Marg would literally Kill Pacman we are talking trip to the funeral home, pacman is brave enough to keep getting back up.
What are you talking about ?

He can fight almost any quality, top tier opponent and it will be an event, don't you realize this is what winning the Oscar De La Hoya sweepstakes gives you ? Do you honestly think Floyd would be as big as he is without the De La hoya fight ?

              Hell to the no.

Hatton could ligitimately pass on Pacman, fight Kotelnik for the WBA, and then the winner of Bradley/Holt to unify. he could sell out wembley and 1million PPV on sky for a unification at 140.
              Who?

Like I've said several times in this thread, sure he could fight someone else, and make a lot of money doing so, but who outside of Hatton's fanbase, and hardcore boxing enthusiasts would give a damn about those fights you mentioned ?

              That's right. Nobody.

Stop acting like Hatton doesn't need or want this fight. He's stated himself several times, even at the Pacquiao-De la Hoya weigh in, that he wanted to fight Manny.

Plain and simple, it seems as if you are more concerned with his finances than he is.

Kotelnik is the WBA LWW champion, ranked 3 by Ring.

Or do you not think that if he beats Kotelnik and then Bradley or holt whomeever wins (how will then be No1 ranked by ring.) that is bas for a fighter to do?

Unify his division, hold all 4 belts by fighting the ring No3 and No1.

GTFOut of here, Jesus if pavlik fought Stumm and AA to unify the 160 division the entire US boxing press would have collective ******.

Wow, just take the 50-50 fight. If that is really Pacquiao's attitude about this I just lost a whole bunch of respect for him.
