Title Fights Where It Seemed The Champ Gave The Belt Away?

What are fights it seems the champ just about gave his title away. Sam Peter comes to mind, he worked so hard to get the belt, two title eliminators with James Toney, fights getting pushed back after that, he gains title then seems to give it away, can you think of others.

Peter didn't "give his title away". He was outclassed and destroyed by a superior fighter.

Nikolai Valuev against Holyfield, except he was given the decision anyway.

Vitali had a good showing and probably would have won no matter what but Peter's effort in that fight was disgraceful. He didn't have a chance against Vitali but he could have atleast come to fight. it just seemed like he was there to collect his check and go home.
