From the site that talks boxing...
That doesn't sound like someone who's on the verge of signing his fighter to a title fight against Carl Froch... I mean, ****, he just opened up the potential opponent list to half of the division.
I'm hoping he's just being coy and trying to squeeze more money out of Froch's people, or playing hardball in order to get the fight in the U.S.... but I've got my doubts.
If Taylor fights anyone at 168 other than Froch, Kessler, or Bute, DiBella's wasting his fighter's time and wasting our time. He's the #1 challenger for the WBC belt; he doesn't need to be wasting his time fighting other challengers.
MAKE THE FIGHT, DIBELLA!
"Jermain wants to get back in the ring as soon as possible, and he wants a major fight. There are a bunch of guys in the kicker, but nothing is done yet. Basically, you can look at the top 168 pounders, and figure out that there's only about a half dozen guys that are major challengers, and that's even if you move up to 175 and fight Glen Johnson at a catchweight. It's going to be someone from amoung that pool of guys, and we're going to make a decision as quickly as possible. Totally honestly, nothing is done yet, as we're on the record."
