wow seriously... so much people here think mayweather is a fundmantal boxer.

james toney isnt fundamental. hes a slugger who swings his hooks and does a follow through that leaves him open for a good 2 seconds. in his prime he was fundamental but he still had problems with going all out and not being smart.

winky wright is fundamental with his defense but if you look at his stance his back foot is flat and pointed to the side instead of forward.

pernell whitaker is NOT FUNDAMENTAL! hes like rjj except hes better at defense and has less power.

ricardo lopez is one of the most fundamental boxer but sadly hes not in this era.

i still cant believe holyfield isnt mentioned here. he is still fighting. and he deserved that win against valuev.

Mayweather. I can't remember a time when I saw him make a mistake defensively and he puts together some punches that you just don't see other fighters pull off against world class fighters.

Perhaps Cory Spinks? Slick as hell, and 100% dependent on his jab.

Great choice. I think it's him and Calderon. They are two of the most purest boxers out there.

And to people saying Mayweather's not fundamentally sound. He's a boxing genius and his fundamentals/skills are bar none. Just becasue he can get away with less orthodox methods doesn't take away from his skills.

I think a fundamental boxer fights fundamental and doesn't just have them. That's why I don't understand why Mayweather is the msot mentioned so far.

Ike Quartey was one as well. **** his jab was a cannon, or a BAZOOKA.

              EDIT: Antonio Tarver... shoutout.
