Edison Miranda wins by spectacular KO!

Edison Miranda KOed Emmanuel Esparza in the third round of his fight tonight.

He may not be a top defensive fighter, but he is certainly exciting to watch!

Who is Emmanuel Esparza? Is he a legit challenge for Miranda or was this just meant to be a tune-up fight.

It was meant to be a tune-up. Esparza was 20-7-1 going into the fight.

When Miranda loses he fights easy tune-up fights, when Cotto loses he fights Jennings and Jennings only has 1 loss? I think Cottos opponent sounds more impressive.

Yes, Esparza had been KOed four times before and decisioned three times. Jennings has lost only one decision.

To me it just sounds like Mirandas people know what he is, an exciting fighter who can not beat the top fighters. His best win is over Allan Green, and people said Allan Green had colon problems that night...

Also, I don't really consider Allan Green to be top opposition even if he was 100 percent that night and he may have lied a little bit about it just because of the way allan lost to Miranda.

Fighters I'd pick over Miranda in the super-middle weight division. Kessler, Bute, Inkin, Taylor and maybe even froch... He might be able to beat froch, but I even see froch beating him. I do how ever think a Miranda/Lacy match up should be happening some time in the near future... That sounds like a perfect match-up

I don't know who I'd pick as the winner in that fight either, both are like equals in my own opinion. Trying to decide... Hard 2 pick one who would win that one.

What Cotto does is give other fighters a chance.

Cotto fights these undefeted or 1 loss fighters, but he gives them a chance. They should be honored, to be fighting Cotto.
