bernard fans always state that bernard had the most tittle defenses at mw but calzaghe did the same thing at smw and is also the longest reigning champ of his division just like bernard

I would love nothing more than to see Hopkins get crushed but i can't deny that he will go down as a legend.
Bernard is just too arrogant and dirty for my liking, but the man knows how to win fights.

The middle weight division is more prestigious and has greater fighters in it both in the present and historically.

The Supper Middle Weight Division has only been around for like 20 odd years. And the only decent fighters that have come out of it are Calzaghe and Roy Jones. Thats it. There ent no more.

the middleweight division was garbage during bernards reign, it may historically have had some very good boxers but what boxer from the middlewight worth mentioning from bernards era

If the middleweight division was garbage how would you characterize the super middleweight division? Hopkins beat a lot of fighters at 160 over a very long period of time. He handed Felix Trinidad his first L. Handed Glen Johnson his first L (and only ass whupping). Keith Holmes. Antwun Echols. Howard Eastman. Syd Vanderpool. And Jermain Taylor IMO. Then to leap two divisions and beat the best light heavy in the world? And is still going?

            Come on...

LOL, Hopkins is nothing more than a big fat joke who "claimed" his legacy by fighting blown up, overrated welterweights...
