Klitschko was ahead on the cards at the time of the stoppage and many feel that's the reason he still continues to push for a rematch. The fight with Klitschko was Lewis' last prior to retirement. [details]
Lennox is almost six years into his retirement, rich, happy, in possession of all his marbles, and about 50lbs overweight. He doesn't want or need this fight, that's why he always mentions impossible terms, like for $100m or only if the two Klitschkos face each other first.

Vitali really does need to let go and move on. He's even more obsessed with Lennox than Haye is with the two Klits. He fought gallantly against Lewis, but he lost. End of story. Beating a fat inactive 43-year-old will hardly prove who the better man is now.

Age made Lewis retire and frankly the guy made enough money that he didn't need to put his life on hold again 3 year after he retired to fight at 41.

Only someone like you can't understand why he retired, it's not hard.

Big V had plenty of oppotunities to fight him before Lennox got old and plenty of time to add people after, but he didn't.

so he will be forever remembered as that iron chinned russian bloke with the crappy resume but was really good even if he lost to Lewis.

Why should Vitali just let it go? Lewis is obviously telling Vitali in private that he hasn't ruled out a rematch. So I don't blame Vitali for bringing it up. When Vital was going to fight Haye recently, Lewis was going to train him and did the same with Sanders and Williams. This grudge goes both ways!

It truly takes an ******* to call the former undisputed heavyweight champion a "coward". I have never been a big fan of Lewis, but lets be real.He fought Vitali on two weeks notice.I think people forget about that.Yes it was a very competitive fight and Vitali was ahead on points. But that's why you have 12 championship rounds. What caused the viscious cut over Vitali's eye?It was those big right hands that were starting to get to him. What are the rules to a championship prize fight?Ok then... he lost simple and plain.Had it been vice versa, Lewis would have been the loser. He had his chance and he blew it.Rematches are never guaranteed. What would he get out of fighting an old Lewis.Get over it.Lewis have never ducked anyone. If I remember correctly, fighters were throwing belts in the garbage and paying him millions of dollars to avoid fighting Lewis.Imagine if he had trained for Vitali for his full camp.We wouldn't even be discussing this.

Vitali is my favorite of the two Klitschkos....but he needs to get off this...I understand the dollar signs involved in a rematch....other then that the fight isn't relevant at all...not to anyone but Vitali atleast.

Vitaly may be a better fighter than his brother but in terms of legacy, Wlad's got him beat hands down. I think he should concentrate on making fights with present fighters. This is the same **** he pulled the first time he won a paper title, when he kept calling out Lewis and ignoring his mandatory. With the news he'll fight Gomez, at least this time we'll see him get to defend something other than his loss to Lewis. Hey Vitaly, that might even help the division! Instead of you trying to bring it down with delusions of a farcical rematch.
