    Where is the JAB

I've been watching a lot of fights lately and it seems ,that a dominant jab is missing in all of boxing!!I mean except for the Klitscko brothers, who appear to fight robotically, they stand atop the heavyweight div.,because of the jab,who in today's boxing world has a dominant jab,we all try to compare todays fighters with yesteryear's,but without strong fundimentals like fighters of times past,I dont think todays fighters have evolved enough to be that much more superior to oldtime fighters.I mean, would Pacman ever have been able to beat a 37 year old Ray Robinson at welterweight?Or would a jabless Floyd ever be able to tangle with Sugar Ray Leonard?Interested in everyone's input, thank u!!

Pavlik, Kessler, Williams, Cotto, Donaire, Pacquiao all use the jab to good effect.

Just discussing,I think Pacuiao uses the straight left lead much more than the lead jab,Kessler stopped jabbing against JC and lost.Paul Williams,my favorite fighter, lost to Quintana,a fight he should have won by letting the smaller fighter outbox him.Pavlik didnt throw a jab against a 40+ Hopkins and completely got dominated,if those fighters used the jab the right way, those losses should not have happened!!Donaire did use his jab to ko Vic D tho!!

Pacquiao does use his jab alot to set up the left hand, look to the DLH fight almost every left hand is set up with a jab.
Kessler stopped using the jab against JC because JC put him out of his rhythm, I attribute alot of that fight to JC's workrate and unorthadox movement.
Do you honestly think Pavlik abandonned the jab willingly? Hopkins took all his weapons away from him
Williams has improved since then, the Philips fight shows how he sets up combos with his jab.
Cotto uses his jab all the time, it's a huge weapon of his.

Just watched Pac vs DLH,myself and Steward seen the lead left used more than the lead jab.a Dominating jab will not be detured by ur opponent, the jab is a technical weopon that does not always have to land,"note I said dominant jab",if Pavlik committed to the jab it would serve his porpuse,if Cotto used the jab more,he could have boxed his way to a UD over Margarito, instead he chose to slug and it cost him!!

Cotto did use the jab, all night long. Margarito was walking through them over and over. Pavlik tried using his jab he couldn't tag Hopkins at all, but when he fought Taylor his jab was a major tool.
