Sweet. That means Vazquez has till mid to late summer to recover. Hopefully that fight gets made. -

Penelosa is too small, slow, and old to take on Lopez at this point.
Should be another good name on Lopez growing ledger.Comment

me oh my....I like both fighters and one way or another I will be sad for the loser.I wish this fight didnt happen.. but NWAYS LETS GET IT ON
i like the chances of JUAN MA LOPEZ. Bigger stronger faster younger and like my predictions for year 2009 he will be the next BIG thing in boxing..TOO bad he ran in the same path as my BOY Gerry...
The only thing going for Penalosa is his experience...Technical expertise not much given that JUANMA is also sound technically but I'm hoping it would work in GERRY's favor.
OH Man Gerry has the balls to fight these YOUNGER, BIGGER AND BIG PUNCHERS up his usual weight class..Got to give him PROPS. His chances are slim but I will be rooting for him...
WAR GERRY

Dunno if Gerry had a choice as far as finding a fight that was worth any sort of money..... 118 is a completely dead division. Guys like Agbeko, Mabuza, Moreno, Mares, Sidorenko, & Morel are all good fighters, but hardly capture the public's attention.Comment
