    Mosley/Margarito Breakdown

Alright, I've seen such varying opinions on this fight, so I wanted to give mine with a how I think it's going to go.

First off, I think anyone saying Shane has no chance is crazy.

Look, the way I look at it is Mosley WILL win rounds. Anyone here think he's going to get shut out or anything? Of course not, I think he'll look good early, just like Cotto did. He'll pile up some points and be in the fight. Defense wise, I think in the center of the ring, Cotto's defense is a bit better, but Shane is too ring savvy to let himself get caught up against those ropes as much as Cotto did. Shane's pretty tough to hurt, but I think Margarito will go to the body early and often. Cotto had trouble getting to Shane's body, but that's because Cotto thought of the consequences. Tony will not, if you have the ability to recklessly go after something without getting hurt, you will get to it. That's what Tony's game is predicated on, his tenacity. Because of this I think Shane will slow from around round 6 on. However when have we ever seen Shane really get tired, or really get beat up? Granted he's never been in there with a guy who pressures like Tony, but Shane has proven he's a tough dude.

Bottom line, the way I see it going is Shane looking good early, like Cotto, and Tony's workrate helping him win most of the late rounds, and getting him a close, but clear UD.

If Mosley can make it to the final bell, he has a very good chance of winning. Like I said, he will win rounds. And if you've won, ya know, 3-4 rounds convincingly and been decent in a few others....things happen with the scorecards. If Mosley makes it all 12 rounds, he's got a GOOD chance at winning. However, I see Margarito outworking him to a 7-5/8-4 type of decision, with Mosley looking the worse for wear at the end.

thats a very practical prediction but I have a feeling Margarito is gonna get surprised by Mosley's power in this fight and Mosley will be the one squeeking out the victory.
