John is quick as **** but I don't think John would move up or Valero would move down.
If Valero catches anybody early they are history, but John can make a lot of guys look bad for a long time.
If it wasn't an early Valero ko, it would be John by easy decision assuming he could put on weight and be as effective.

Stylistically, John should win but he may be too small and if he gets caught, it'll probably be lights out for him. Word going around is that Valero has become a much better all around fighter now that he's trained by Kenny Adams.

In John's case, maybe it's true. Not for Valero.
He had the hardest time even getting licensed because of that motorcycle accident and brain injury.
