Robert Guerrero-Edel Ruiz on Margarito-Mosley Undercard

It's been officially announced that former featherweight champion Robert Guerrero (22-1-1, 15 KOs) will officially make his return to the ring, facing Edel Ruiz (31-21-4, 22 KOs) on January 24 undercard to Antonio Margarito-Shane Mosley at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Ruiz is tuneup opponent for Guerrero to shake off the rust. He lost seven of his last ten fights. [details]

Robert Guerrero's road should lead to a fight with Humberto Soto soon. Good to see the ghost back

Any word on if this fight will be televised? Probably not right? Ruiz is more of a Solo Boxeo type fighter than HBO calibre.

It's about time The Ghost gets back in the ring...God Bless him and his wife who, according to latest reports, is doing well and is in remission. GREAT NEWS for the family. In my opinion, Guerrero is one of the best fighters in recent memory that seemed destined for mediocrity, yet blossomed into a truely special fighter...special in the heart, chin and tenacity departments - all that good sh#t that you just can't teach! Rumble, young man, rumble.

Yeah on paper it is a mismatch, but it's the type of mismatch that could be a good scrap for 4 or 5 rounds. But if they're trying to turn over a new leaf and not televise mismatches they shouldnt even show highlights of this fight.
