    Mosley can beat margarito

    1. IF he fights fire with fire like Paul Williams did... From start to finish Williams threw so many punches he made the Tornado look like nothing but a ****ing funnel cloud. Everytime Margarito landed something Paul answered right back with a flurry. Mosely can't run away and counter punch all night... Margarito is an offensive fighter, and if Mosely can put him on the defensive early on like Williams did he will have an advantage.

    2. IF he keeps Margarito turning like Cotto did early on and Williams did pretty much all night long... When Margarito came at Cotto and he started to go backwards, that's when he got into trouble. I don't remember seeing Williams on the ropes once... If you dance in circles around Margarito he just isn't the same fighter.

    3. IF he clinches a lot. I saw a thread on here the other day where somebody was saying that if Cotto clinches more in the second go around he can win. They might be right, because when Williams beat Margarito he was clinching A LOT when Margarito would get inside. So much that the ref actually warned him about it. Mosley doesn't want to fight Margarito in a phone booth. He's going to have to clinch.

Basically... I'm starting to think it's impossible to knock Margarito out.
So, the only chance Mosely has is to fight like he's a 37 year old Paul Williams, except the midget version.

    Your thoughts?

I agree that Mosley can beat Margarito but there's no way he can throw the amount of punches that Williams did so I don't think he'll put Margarito on the defensive early, I think he'll keep Margarito turning and off balance early, add Margarito's tendency to start slowly and Mosley could build an early lead. I don't think he can keep it up for 12 rounds though and he'll probably get lured into a brawl, which would not be to his advantage so I think Margarito will win but Mosley definitely has a chance because he has the experience to maybe steal a few rounds late to win the fight.

Shane is a strong finisher. He doesnt usually lose the last round in any given fight. He has to rely on his physical strength and guile against Tony. I honestly dont think he will win, but its obviously there if he fights the right fight.

True, Mosley normally finished strongly but there's a first time for everything, Margarito, as well all know, gets stronger as the fight goes on and normally finishes very strongly himself.

Mosley should only rely on his physical strength in the clinches, he needs to rely on his speed, footwork and experience under pressure more than anything in this fight IMO because there will definitely be moments where he will be put under intense pressure, moments where his experience will pull him through.

And he definitely can win if he fights the right fight.
