yeah, i always knew that cotto fades late, but mosley was the first to put that kind of pressure on cotto.
We'll agree to disagree, I don't think it would have mattered where the fight was held.

Anyways, something interesting that Gabriel Montoya said in his mailbag over at maxboxing.

The only thing I see as a potential problem for Margarito is that he might be spending this camp losing weight rather than fine tuning. We'll see.
That could help Mosley a lot and there were rumors that Margarito was as high as 180 so making weight could be a big factor.

Shane did have Cotto on his bike....which SHOCKED alot of us because we then got to see that Cotto CAN box ......with that said Tony didn't have to watch the Mosley fight to beat Cotto....Tony did to Cotto what Tony does to dudes.....systematic destruction!!

I got Shane.....I think he can pull off the upset.

And Ricardo Torres was the original blue print maker in how to defeat Cotto and past it on to grandpa' Shane... Just shut your pipe hole old man, you are starting to piss me off.

Mosley did pressure Cotto and he started winning the later rounds, but Margarito applied much more pressure and his work rate was higher. Anyways, I think Shane may just be saying this to get to Margarito.

Cotto boxed the same way with Mosley as he did early on in his career, he has many times got on his bicycle and boxed, even when he wasn't hurt. A lot of people don't know that and think he gassed out, I think he felt he won the fight, and he didn't want to take chances.

Mosley is just talking to try and hype up the fight. He's never been a big draw as far as ppv buys and this fight is free so he's trying to get more people to watch it at home. Shane in his younger years was a good slick boxer. He slides and rolls punches well. He positions himself to hop in with lead hooks or looping right hands. I'm not taking anything away from the guy. Great fighter. I just don't think that even in his younger years that he could've beat Margarito. That's just my opinion. He likes to fight too much to outbox him. He doesn't have a hard established jab to keep Margarito off balance either. The type of guy that'll beat Margarito will be a guy that has a good jab and gives a lot of movement. You won't beat Margarito but you can outpoint him. There is a difference. Santos needs to quit thinking so highly of himself too. The first time they fought it ended really early based on cuts. The 2nd time he eaked by on a technical decision and there was still time left for the points to be moved in Margarito's favor. Besides that, he's improved since then. Anyway, Shane is a nice fighter, I've always like him but he's going to be swallowed up by the boss at 147lbs.

Poor Margarito fans will be crying if Margarito loses to Mosley, because then he'll probably duck him to avoid losing again, ala Paul Williams, the REAL 147 pound champion who left the division for lack of fights.
