Michaelczewski vs Jones would have been a good fight, it was both their faults for the fight not happening, Jones for refusing to go to Germany and Michalczewski for refusing to go to the states.

And Michalczewski definitely was slipping by the time he fought Gonzalez, it showed in his previous fight when he fought Harmon, he was getting hit way more than he did in his prime.

I have no doubt that Roy was a better fighter. But DM would've certainly been better than a lot of guys Roy was fighting at the time and would've erased any doubt as to Roy being the most dominant fighter in the sport.

I haven't seen a lot of footage on DM, but people are usually quick to lump him in with Ottke. Difference being DM faced better opposition and knocked almost everyone out.

If Roy is the champ and the best fighter in the world, why is the burden of proof on him? That makes absolutely no sense. Dariusz should have hopped his ass on a plane and fought Roy at the contracted terms.

roy is to blame for that fight not happening as well. that's the only fight i think roy should have taken that he didn't.

The Nunn-Jones fight was close to happening to my knowledge but Jones announced he was going to up to heavyweight to fight Buster Douglas so he vacated the WBC title, Nunn then fought Rocchigiani in Germany for the vacant title which he lost, Jones then got talked out of his heavyweight fight with Douglas by his father and the WBC immediately stripped Rocchigiani of his title and gave it back to Jones. I think Jones would have fought Nunn had Nunn not lost to Rocchigiani.

Although Jones could have fought Nunn before announcing his decision to fight Douglas.

That could have been a reason and Scully did say Jones didn't like the Nunn fight because of Nunn's style but I wouldn't have been surprised if the fight did happen if Nunn had beaten Rocchigiani.
