    Where is Jhonny Gonzalez?

I haven't heard about him in a while. He's a damn good fighter. Does anybody know when he fights next?

I think he is campaigning at 122 trying to set up a title shot. If he gets one, I assume it will be against Lopez or Caballero, I don't think Vazquez would be overly excited to fight him again. He put up one hell of a fight against Vazquez when they fought.

I really hope he gets Lopez... that would be a badass test for Lopez, although I think Gonzalez's lack of durability would end up carrying the day for Lopez.

He's ranked number 2 by the WBC so he's in a position to win the vacant title that got stripped off Vazquez, either against Marquez, who is ranked number 1 or against someone who the WBC ranks in their top 10.

Marquez is fighting Caballero is he not?

So he either wins, gets belts and gets completely taken off the WBC rankings, or... he loses and inevitably drops some spots (hopefully, but sanctioning bodies are just generally ****s about things like this, so...).

          Right?

I read that talks for that fight have stopped and that Caballero is in negotiations to fight his mandatory next who is Jeffrey Mathebula. I don't know what Marquez is doing next, I wouldn't be surprised if he does fight Gonzalez.

Marquez will probably lose his ranking if he's fighting Caballero.

Takashi nishioka or however you spell it, is the WBC champ now. It's not considered vacant.

Oh right, I forgot about his fight with Garcia, anyways, Gonzalez is in the position to fight Nishioka if Marquez decides to go elsewhere and if Vazquez doesn't use his Emeritus status to get an immediate title shot.
