Frankie Gavin British Lightweight turning Pro

Heard something interesting today. He was the last person to beat Yuriorkis Gamboa in the amatuers (won by 20 points). I think Gavin has a hell of a lot of potential.

Yep. Frankie is someone to keep an eye on. A fight with Khan a few years down the line must happen.

He was always great to watch in the amatuers. Whenever he was on the BBC, I made sure to watch it. He aint very tall though, is he?

damn didn't know that, gamboa is a fighter i really like and gavin did quite well against him then didn't he.

i know in the build up to the olympics he was a favourite to land gold, british boxing had alot of good fighters but (such as Degale) but he was one of those who was supposed to have something extra, alot of lottery funding went into him and i was looking forward to watching him fight but he couldn't make the weight and ended up sitting it out.

frank warren has a young fighter with a vast amount of potential there

Thats a bad thing in my eyes. Won't see him fight for a title till his 40th fight.
