    His last words

Max Baer was up to all kinds of mischief, and he seemed to never take life that seriously (so in 1934-35 he enjoyed the pleasures of it rather than train properly before the Braddock fight).

There's an anecdote about his last words in life:

In 1959 while staying at a hotel, Baer fell ill (heart attack).
He phoned the receptionist for a doctor:
"Do you wan't the house doctor?" the receptionist asked.
"No, I wan't the human doctor!"
