    ummm......

the cotto-marg rematch is practically a done deal.

arum wanted them to take a fight before the rematch.

cotto is gonna grab another vacant belt at 147 and marg is fighting shane.

the rematch is set for afterwards.

    nice try though.

So if Marg loses the fight is still a go? They will have left alot of money on the table if Shane beats Margarito.

Maybe because a few weeks after the fight Bob Arum announced that June of 2009 the tentative rematch was scheduled. I have seen many discussions in here about it...where have you been?

uhhhhh...The Cotto fans are screaming for a rematch... I'm a huge Cotto fan and cant wait for the rematch. I thought Cotto would have won if he could have just rode it out a little bit longer. But instead he got caught with some tough shots and Marg finished him..Marg's constant pressure broke him down..

Floyd could fight the same way Cotto did but it wouldnt look like he was running or fighting to keep Margarito off.

So if Marg loses the fight wont be as big, doesnt make sense putting him in there with Shane, huge risk, they are betting on a win, but its not written in stone. The smart thing to do would have been to put Cotto in with a tougher opponent, he is the one who needs to get back in the black, not Margarito.

                    not really.

the fight was so good the first time around and both sides have so many fans that the rematch will sell no matter what.

cotto is just taking on a lesser opponent because he was the loser.

they need him to put on a good show to set up the rematch even more.

even if marg loses to shane......cotto now has a belt. which still makes the rematch a title fight.

                    bobfather knows what he's doing.
