Chances Hopkins V Calzaghe 2 Happens?

This fight would be alot bigger then the first and if either fights again must fight each other: Hopkins just beat a young prime fighter, Joe an Old over the hill fighter... Whos really better?

it would be another messy and ****ty fight, again joes activity would get him the W, if it were to happen in the UK then i could possibly see it being a close UD for joe. i dont think the public want another fight like that except for b-hop nuthuggers and die hard american boxing fans.

joe deffo doesn't want another fight and unless the pay was huge i can't see it happening, even then i would have doubts as another win over b-hop doesn't mean that much and the critics would say hes just fighting old fighters instead of dawson.

This fight will never happen. The first one was boring and a rematch will no doubtingly end in a similar fashion and Joe is not scared or he wouldn't have fought Hopkins in the first place.

Calzaghe won by throwing and landing twice as many punches. They may not have been "clean" but the way Hop was mauling Joe neither fighter was landing many "clean" punches. Joe easily won 7 maybe 8 rounds and dominated the second half of the fight.

Why would Calzaghe be scared of someone who spent the entire fight backing off and trying to get points deducted by feigning low blows?

The fight would be another stinker, with Hopkins doing his utmost to make it as ugly as possible, but Calzaghe likely beats him again on aggression and workrate. Can't really see where the demand for a re-run of that is coming from.

Another ugly win over a 40-something fighter isn't going to do much for Calzaghe's resume. If he does fight again, there's more kudos in facing Dawson, Froch or even Johnson. Plus he's already on record as saying he won't fight Hopkins again, so it's unlikely, I'd say.

It won't happen, reason are; Calzaghe don't want it, the fans don't want it after the last fight they had. Hopkins wants it yeah, but barely anyone else would want it and Calzaghe is pretty adamant of retiring anyway.

calz's not scared of hopkins per se, but he doesnt want to risk his undefeated streak or be made to look silly again.

seriously... calz was getting credit for waving his arms around in the air.
