Carl Froch injured. Out until June!

    From Michael Marley's site:

"There’s nothing wrong with WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch’s flapping jaws.

The lad from Nottingham seems to exercise those even in his sleep. But his ribs are hurting for certain and now he won’t be fighting again until June.

The WBC has a purse bid for Froch to make a defense against top contender and former middleweight king Jermain Taylor.

Taylor was rebuffed by HBO and now Lou DiBella is angling to make a multi-bout deal with rival Showtime.

The question arises, will Taylor sit idle for six months waiting on Froch? Knowing how DiBella tarvels, one would surmise he has "alternate routes" mapped out.

Froch suffered the bruised ribs in his title bout victory over Jean Pascal.

Nottingham was, of course, said to be the home of the legendary Robin Hood. That's where the Hood made Marion and hung out with Little John.

Looks like Jermain Taylor's only option for a titleshot next time out would be against Mikkel Kessler.

If Taylor showed interest in such a fight I'm sure Kessler's disgruntleness towards his management would dissapear in a heartbeat.

Kessler vs. Taylor is the best fight that can be made at 168.

Absolutely. But so far team Taylor has been uninterested. Now it appears they are running out of options. Seems to me only Hopkins III or Kessler is left.

i would like to see him really woop hopkins from pillar to post but then the judges give the fight to hopkins. 1 gift win in his career as opposed to 3 gift losses he has.

I'd like to see Bad Intentions beat down on Kessler.

This news comes out after Froch sees Balzsay fight.

Froch is ducking Taylor and Balzsay now that he has a title.

Zaggy will never fight Froch. He would make more money in a Jones rematch, or a Dawson ****.

Why would he fight fight Froch?
