but i still love them all. i wish they did some new legendary nights on fights we actually gave a F about.
It's a well-made documentary, but people say ****** things because of it. It creates "message board myths".

If they do more episodes, I don't care for them doing the more recent fights. We already lived through those. The build-up, fight, aftermath, etc...Better to do an older fight, from the 70s or 80s, with interviews/footage that most of us may have not seen.

They were probably hoping that Trinidad-DLH would fight again, so they did an episode on it.

Though in fairness, they did say the fight was a big disappointment, which doesn't exactly help sell a rematch.

Holy ****. Arguello was at the end of his career, not at his best weight, and still gave Pryor fits.

Besides, he was not as skilled as Leonard in any way. Leonard ****s Arguello and Pryor easily, this guy whooped Hearns, Duran, Benitez, and hung in with HAGLER after a long lay-off!

            Great thread.

There's a lot of **** HBO put in those episodes that are somewhat biased.

I'm a big Pryor fan, but Leonard would've done the deed on Aaron's ass. I still would've loved to have seen the fight though.

Taylor was pretty much ruined in the Chavez fight though. He went on to beat some decent opposition afterwards, but he wasn't the same fighter. Maybe "ruined" isn't the right word, but I can't find one that would fit to replace it.

The way they focused on Panama Lewis and "the one I mixed" was a bit unnecessary IMO. They mentioned it several times and speculated about what was in it, it downplayed Aaron's win that night I think. Pryor didn't need that bottle to beat Arguello, he wasn't going to be denied that night.

Anybody got a link to a site where I can download these? Specifically, Lewis/Tyson, and Hagler/Leonard?

            Haven't seen them in ages.

I actually don't think Pryor would've done that bad against Leonard. I think he'd lose, but wouldn't look totally outclassed or anything. Hearns at 147 as a pro though, that's another story.

Against Leonard, Pryor would have his moments but I think Ray's speed, boxing ability, and overall experience and abilities would give Pryor fits.

It sucks, as you pointed out, that Pryor couldn't get any offers to fight for a title at Lightweight. He could've done some work with a lot of those guys.

Prime Hearns would just have his way with Aaron. Too big, too strong, and too damn powerful.

Oh yeah, and thanks a lot for the link man. Really appreciate it, I just woke up and I'm wired for the night with not much to discuss around here to keep me entertained.

(You can only take so much of the bitching about Hatton vs. Pacquiao.)
