Jones = Was never even really considered a credible fight by most boxing experts as Calzaghe was made the immediate, HEAVY favorite. Even Jones HIMSELF said on 24/7, "Joe is the one with all the pressure"
Hopkins = Calzaghe BARELY won in a fight where he was dropped in the first round and proceeded to just slap Hopkins when he realized he wasn't going to hurt him. This fight made Calzaghe look amateurish with HORRIBLE technique. NOT an attractive or P4P Top 10 performance.
Manfredo = Seriously? Do I even have to go into this?
Kessler = Excellent win for Calzaghe. This fight showed his class and p4p caliber against a hungry, strong undefeated fighter in Mikkel Kessler.
So out of the last 4 fights, Calzaghe has faced only 2 REAL threats, Hopkins and Kessler in which he was only SOMEWHAT dominant and showed excellence in the ring which was the Kessler fight.
Does he deserve to be in the top 10? Of course he does. Does he deserve to be #1? **** no. #2? **** no.
What TRUE GREAT or atleast GOOD American fighters has he defeated in CONVINCING fashion besides Lacy? Who?
Calzaghe has had 46 fights and Calzaghe fans want to put him on a pedestal above everyone else because out of those 46 fights, he's only actually looked good against ONE, ONE American fighter in Jeff Lacy? THE****OUTTAHERE
On top of that, the ****sucker has the nerve to claim Boxing is dead after making the most money he's ever made in a fight?! HOW CAN ANYONE SUPPORT THAT?
