Finally, can someone explain why accepting a fight then asking for double the money the next day is not ducking because two posters have stated that "If you watched boxing back then you'd understand". Well I did follow Calzaghe's career and I still don't follow, so please enlighten me. Because if Calzaghe agreed to fight somone say, Dawson this year, then returned the following day asking for double the purse, I'd say he was ducking!

Agreements on phone conferences aren't agreements. There's more to the story that involves Don King and Hopkins, the slave contract, the middlweight uni tournament and why Hopkins desperately wanted to get out of the King Contract. If you'd watched boxing then (media reports, tv etc) and not just googled **** in retrospect with the perspective of a Joe fan then maybe I could take your comments seriously.

Also nice ALMOST backing off your Roy statement. I noticed how you didn't say you ARE WRONG because you have no proof and because it goes against what you WANT TO BELIEVE about Joe vs. everyone as a huge Joe fan. Nice.

Glen Johnson was nothing special at SMW, 11 fights 5 wins, seriously had they fought, on form Glen would have lost.

Calzaghe was Injured, that hardly ducking anymore than Tony Thomson not fighting Calzaghe was ducking.

You can point to the close fight with Ottke but it was nothing on the level that the Reid or first Brewer fight was in terms of blatancy, Glen just didn't perform at 168 like he did at 175, he didn't beat anyone of any standard at 168.

What I was referring to is just because I am Welsh does not mean I think Calzaghe is perfect. Yes he has avoided Johnson. I can admit that because I am not a 'nuthugger'. Unfortunately you twist every word I use and will not give Calzaghe an ounce of respect. That was my original point. Never once did I say the gay was an ATG.
