Oscar appeared about as much of a live threat to Pac in that fight as Roy was to Joe a month prior, maybe less so. That's only partially attributable to the (now storied to the point of mythological) speed of Pacquiao and a diligently followed gameplan.
Oscar looked wasted, hadn't prepped to box...factors in his failure to get any punch worth a **** off.


Manny can come in against Margarito 100% prepared to follow whatever gameplan he likes. Regardless, he gets wasted if they ever fight.

if the bout happens, pac would almost certainly lose. his only chance is to frustrate margarito with his handspeed and pot shot for a ud. no way pac ko's marg.

I'm not convinced it's a matter of Oscar being shot entirely, but he was clearly wasted. How much was his prep and how much was the weight itself can be conjectured, but the De La Hoya who fought Manny was a sickly shadow of even the Oscar who fought Mayorga, Mayweather Jr.
