By Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson: A lot of so called boxing experts and writers are talking about the lack of excitement in the heavyweight division and how there are no American prospects and I say bull****. There are plenty of young, exciting American heavyweights, none more impressive and accomplished than myself, the "Kingpin" Kevin Johnson. With a professional record of 21-0 and with names such as Bruce Seldon, Damian Willis and Terry Smith and Timor Ibragimov on my resume, you would think that I would have already had an opportunity to fight for the title.
Instead, I've been forced to sit back and watch as old, recycled out of shape fat bums such as Hasim Rahman, Evander Holyfield and Ray Austin and Chris Byrd get numerous title fights despite the fact that they haven't won meaningful fights in years, especially Evander Holyfield, with the same end result, boring and embarrassing fights. I'm undefeated and willing to fight anyone anywhere at any time and place; yet promoters continue to hide their fighters from me.
And then you have guys like David Haye, who have done nothing in the division just, jump straight to the top of the division after fighting just one old washed up heavyweight in Monte Barrett, who by the way, also got a title shot before me, despite his sorry ass record. Well, its 2009 and that's all going to end. 2009 is my year. With my new team in place, I'm going to conqueror the heavyweight division starting with you Nicolay Valuev. Since the Klitschkos are tied up with mandatory defenses, you are the most likely target. Other than your mandatory with Ruslan Chagaev, you have no other obligations. There is no excuse. Let's get it done. Hell, I'll even come to do it in Germany, no problem. I'm all ready rated #5 five by the WBA, which is a lot higher that Evander Holyfield who embarrassed you, so don't use that as an excuse. And the idiots in front of me like Kali Meehan and John Ruiz are a joke. I wish that the WBA would order an elimination bout with me and either of these clowns so that I can destroy them and prove that I am the heavyweight champion of the world in waiting. They've had there day in the sun. It's my turn now and I'm not waiting anymore.
Next on my list is David Haye, you are an absolute joke. The next coming of Frank Bruno. Another effeminate British heavyweight that looks and talks the part, but who can't walk the walk. I've been begging to fight you for months and you keep hiding behind your promoter and manager Adam Booth. Do you really think you deserve a shot at the title before me? That's a joke. Why don't you fight me in an elimination bout? If you're so damn great, prove it.
To the rest of the division, please. Sam Peter, Oleg Maskaev, James Toney, Taras *****ko, Chagaev…blah blah……..please call my people, I'll take any of you at any time and place. Just say the word. Oh and Evander, I might need some sparring so stay by the phone, I hear that you need the money. You can help me prepare for my next fight.
