    If Berto Wins, Then What?

1st off let me say that I think this is a very dangerous fight for Berto and if I was his people, I wouldnt have took this fight. Not because Collazo is such a beast and you shouldnt take big fights but I never ever would put a young guy in with an experienced Southpaw. It would be different if Berto had some big fights already but I just wouldnt trust a young inexperienced guy fighting a savy Southpaw in his 1st big fight, e****ally against a guy who's been in a decent amount of big fights.

Collazo aint no pushover and he knows how to fight. He also is alot bigger & stronger then people give him credit for. On top of that there is still something holding me back about Berto. I still hate the way he moves around the ring. Its like theres no technique to it. He just like walks around. He doesnt circle or have a real plan when it comes to his movement. I dont like that and I think someone can expose it. With all that being said, if he's good like he's supposed to be then he should definatly win this fight.

After he wins, then what should he do? I dont want to hear anything about any easy fights either. He's had too many of them already and its not like Collazo is Margarito. I wouldnt put him in with the best of the best but if Mosley loses to Margarito then I may would put him in with an older, worn down Mosley. I cant throw him in with a Cotto, Margarito, Williams, or Clottey yet. I might would put him in with Quintana. Thats a good name and Berto would already have the experince of fighting a tough Southpaw in his previous fight. I think everyone would like seeing it too and Quintana's size wouldnt give Berto problems.

To tell you the truth he shouldnt be at 147, he would be better at 140. Aside from a beaten Mosley I got no idea what else is left for him besides mandatories like Baldomir

I think Cintron would be a good test for him if he gets by Collazo.

        Where's Kermit Cintron ?

EDIT : It was mentioned by Silencer above this post. sorry.

Cintron is ideal for Berto if he wins

If Berto wins, it will probably be by split decision not ud. And he will probably decide to go down to 140 after that win or lose this fight.

If Berto wins by destroying Collazo, then I guess everyone should shut up about Berto not suppose to be at 147 sincr Collzao is definitely a 147 pound fighter.

The talk of 140 is a bit out there, guys. Berto isnt a short WW, and hes stacked up like a beast.
If he beats Collazo he has no choice but to move forward. I wouldnt say challenge the elite right away, make a mandatory out of a no name with a flashy record, maybe. His best bet at being a top dog would be to let Margarito and Cotto fight again, and then fight the winner. Margarito is a guy who will get older over night at some point in the next year or two, I would try to win that lottery if I were him.

I was going to name Cintron but I put him in the group with Margarito and all those guys. I dont think he's anywhere near that level but I think he right now maybe a very bad matchup for Berto. Im just not sold on Berto's overall Defense and movement which means he will get hit clean by Cintron alot and how will he handle it?

I definatly dont think he's small like everyone makes him out to be. He's a legit WW without a doubt to me. He may be short but that doesnt mean much in my book. My only question about him is does he have the overall skills to fight there against the elite. I think he's no different in size then Cotto really and everyone feels that he's a legit WW. Besides, when your talking about the super huge guys there is only Margarito & Williams. The rest of the guys are just huge and he can compete there. He's much more naturally bigger & stronger then Floyd.

I cant beleive how everyone feels that Berto is too small to be at WW but Floyd has to fight Margarito and the others? That makes no sense at all to me. Berto is clearly naturaly bigger then Floyd. Floyd is just like an inch taller and thats it. I dont even think Berto could make 140 as easy as people think

Doesn't Berto normally go into fights in the mid to high 150s? He's a pretty big guy, he's on the short side for a welterweight but he's strong. I don't think he can make 140 without affecting himself.

Cintron would give Berto hell. It wouldn't shock me at all if Cintron KO'd Andre.
Berto and his camp are just gonna have to dive in head first if he beats Collazo because there really aren't any easy fights out there amongst the top contenders @ 147. I still have visions of Berto almost getting KO'd by Cosme Rivera; that was a wake up call for me regarding Berto's capabilities at 147.

Plus, he's a headhunter, and tends to waste punches when he gets excited. He's talented, but I wouldn't pick him over any of the top guys @ 147. But, what choice does he really have?? He'll be shunned if he tries to milk his title. A fight against Cintron would be risky because Cintron would go right after him and I don't think Berto has much of a defense and if he got hurt against Cintron I don't think he would know how to survive. Also, if he looks so-so against Collazo, and they feel like he's not ready to step up the comp. level, who are they gonna put him in with--Zab or Quintana?? Both of which are southpaws...not smart. But, who else is there to fight that has some name recognition?
