Marquez needs to forget about Pac for awhile and focus on taking over the lightweight division. A win over Juan Diaz and Nate Campbell (not easy, but possible) would make him the undeniable king at 135.
After Hatton and IF Mayweather comes out of retirement, who else can Pacquiao fight for some serious money??? Marquez. The storyline is there, and it's an easy sell. The fight should be at 135 though, but Pac would probably demand it be at 140.Comment

I highly doubt Pac is running from Marquez, remember now Marquez was hiding in the woods when Morales, Barrera, and Pac were having their wars. Now Marquez has two close fights with Pac and is desperately trying to get another rematch to be on top. Marquez has taken the easier route by hiding out during the Pac, Morales, and Barrera wars. He should establish his own name cleaning out 135 division then move up to 140 where im sure Pac would be waiting.
Why would Pac be running from Marquez, Marquez NEEDS Pac and this article clearly proves it.Comment

Cuz of Pacquaio, JMM is the Lightweight champion??? I think JMM is the champ cause he took on Casamayor, the world champion, not due to anything Pacquaio did... And so what if JMM turned down the first fight??? What does that have to do with now??Comment

Manny wants no parts of JMM @ all. How many times after a fight have we heard manny Say "I'm just a fighter, it's up to my promoter to set who I face" When asked about the possibility of a 3rd fight after pt2 Manny said flat out "no (as in no more) "this business is done" I don't blame him JMM is a SOB. sharpest boxer/puncher in boxing right now.Comment

Where would Marquez be without Pacquiao seriously and dont be biased. He's had two close fights with Pac which credits him as a Top P4P fighter even though he lost. Other then that he fought Casamayor who was old anyways. Lets not forget the fight with Barrera which Marco dropped Marquez but never got credit for it. This was the same Barrera who's been in wars with Pac and Morales so really does Marquez get full credit for this win?
Why else is Marquez campaigning at 135, he was chasing Pac. Would Marquez be at 135 if Pac never went to 135, probably not.
Dont get me wrong now cause I know their are alot of Marquez fans here and I aint trying to discredit his skills cause YES he is a good boxer, but without Pacquiao where would he be? SERIOUSLYComment

Well then let JMM face Chris John in order to avenge his "L" to that guy... after the first fight with pacquiao he turned down the rematch and he face Chris John and loss... JMM is also for money becuase he knows that he will earn a lot if he face Pacquiao... Look with his fight against Juan Diaz, its not even on PPV...So we agree its about dollars and not legacy... Beating Hatton will earn him the World title but we know Pacquaio's team grabbed this fight cause it looks winnable to them. And Pacquiao has a controversial win by 1 pt and a draw with the guy.. Add to ur legacy by finally koing the guy after struggling with the man twiceComment
