Football players in Boxing

Do you think any of todays players could make an impact in the boxing world? In the past, we had Mark Gasteno that gave a run, one small step up and he was looking up at the lights.

Warren Sapp would have been decent as a boxer until he went dancing and seems to be a "Nice guy" now

Football players would be more successfull in Kickboxing rather that boxing imo.

If they just decided to pick up boxing now, no. they would do next to nothing.

but if you take some of these powerhouses in the NFL now, and trained them as boxers since they were teenagers...now thats a totally different story.

...but thats not how things work.

soccer players make lethal boxers if they got the punching power, cuz the leg movement and speed is perfect for boxing
soccer basketball, it all helps
football you run past your opponent
basketball and soccer sometimes you stop and go around him with speed
i see how the footwork could benefit in a sport like boxing

There was that one guy who was a small time boxer and then played football, and then went back to boxing. It was on ESPN. I think he was the guy who fought Jose Caseco.

But overall, i don't think that football players would make good boxers. Their accustomed to collision.

maybe, but Sapp beat Ernesto Hoost twice, and Hoost is considered by most people to be the best kickboxer in the history of K-1.
