Two articles on Barrera in a day on his future fight. Fist one stating it was announced he was fighting Meacher on Jan 31. Hours later he suddenly has an ankle injury? Who exactly announced these, don't seem reliable enough.Comment

A very slight improvement. Atleast Nolasco will provide Barrera with some rounds, having gone the distance with guys like Lizau, Honorio, & Luevano.
Still way below what he should be fighting. I understand that maybe he is trying to kick off some rust, and get some confidence back after losing to Pacquiao and Marquez, but there has got to be something between elite level and the guys he is facing now.
Bring out somone like Robert Frankel, Javier Jauregui, Randy Suico, or Bobby Pacquiao for Gods sake.Comment

Nolasco is an even bigger mismatch than the first bum Barrera was gonna fight, the guy hasn't fought since 07 for god's sake! Barrera ran like a ***** from Golden Boy Promotions and signed with Don King in order to get these bums lined up for him, Golden Boy Promotions gave him: Morales(part3), Juarez, Marquez, & Pacquiao, then he says GBP wasn't taking his career seriously? I guess Barrera wanted them to feed him bums...Very Pathetic Move by Barrera!Comment

It's saddening to me that being recognized as the #1 ranked he's given these types of fights. It is an embarrasement for the organizations, the fans and ofcourse Barrera himself, i understand this is perhaps a warm up match, but facing someone of such category as he is only confirms how the promoters are taking the ranks of these organ. to their advantage and not of the public by only utilizing that fact fot money making fights only. Hopefully Barrera will collect a few checks and go home..Comment
