    Top 50 All Time Greats!!

    Well, I was pretty bored and thought I would search 'boxing hall of fame' into Google to find the top 10+ all time greats list... I found this list on a website claiming it was the ESPN top 50 list;

    50. Mike Tyson
    49. Erik Morales
    48. Floyd Mayweather Jr.(undefeated)
    47. Bernard Hopkins
    46. Roy Jones Jr.
    45. Carlos Monzon
    44. Pernell Whitaker
    43. Marco Antonio Barrera
    42. Alexis Arguello
    41. Ted "Kid" Lewis
    40. Evander Holyfield
    39. Oscar De La Hoya
    38. Larry Holmes
    37. Thomas Hearns
    36. Eder Jofre
    35. Marvin Hagler
    34. Emile Griffith
    33. Ruben Olivares
    32. Jose Napoles
    31. Billy Conn
    30. Terry McGovern
    29. Sandy Saddler
    28. Jake LaMotta
    27. Ezzard Charles
    26. Joe Frazier
    25. Marcel Cerdan
    24. Julio Cesar Chavez
    23. Jimmy McLarnin
    22. Barney Ross
    21. Tony Canzoneri
    20. George Foreman
    19. Stanley Ketchel
    18. Archie Moore
    17. Mickey Walker
    16. Gene Tunney
    15. Jimmy Wilde
    14. Rocky Marciano (only undefeated heavyweight)
    13. Harry Greb
    12. Sugar Ray Leonard
    11. Joe Gans
    10. Sam Langford
    9. Jack Dempsey
    8. Jack Johnson
    7. Benny Leonard
    6. Roberto Duran
    5. Willie Pep
    4. Joe Louis
    3. Henry Armstrong
    2. Muhammad Ali
    1. Sugar Ray Robinson

I was just wandering if everyone agrees with the list, and if anybody thinks some people should be higher or lower in the list, or not in it at all? Discuss.

By the way as a Mayweather fan, I didn't put "(undefeated)" in there, and neither the "(only undefeated heavyweight)" on Marciano... I just pasted it in so there is nothing biased on my part.

Anyway I would like your opinions, so... discuss!!

Calzaghe and Hatton are not top 50 all time

Lennox Lewis should be top 50 IMHO and SRLeonard is very low all things considered, i have him higher then Duran.

De La Hoya is not top 50 ATG based on wins either, so unless you have him in on money making....

I am not removing or adding anyone to the list, it is 'ESPN's Top 50 All Time Greats'... not 'Spacey1991's top 50 All Time Greats'.

I just put it up here so people can discuss who they think should be in there, who shouldn't be in there... who should be ranked higher, and who should be ranked lower.

But if you think Calzaghe and Hatton deserves to be up there and Barney Ross shouldn't, then that's cool... just your opinion!

                I just got this from the ESPN website;

Although few would question that Sugar Ray Robinson should sit at the very top, or that Muhammad Ali, Henry Armstrong and Joe Louis should be at the head of the chasing pack, cases can be made for and against the positioning, inclusion or omission of a good many others. You want to argue that Tony Canzoneri is ranked too high or that Roy Jones Jr. doesn't belong on the list? Go ahead. Chances are your arguments in favor of your rankings are just as good as my arguments in favor of mine.

This list is not an all-time, mythical pound-for-pound ranking. It is not trying to establish who would beat whom if everyone were all the same weight. After all, Roberto Duran lost two of three to Sugar Ray Leonard, but is ranked six places ahead of him. Sandy Saddler beat Willie Pep in three of four bouts, but is at No. 29, while Pep enjoys the stratospheric ranking of No. 5. Alexis Arguello is on the list; Aaron Pryor, a terrific fighter in his own right who beat Arguello twice, doesn't make it.

If you can be arsed to read it!

Lol... Oscar ahead of Pernell Whittaker?

The list actually isn't that bad. I just can't get over ODLH being at 39.
