Bernard Hopkins may lose to chad dawson....

i just noticed that there is a pattern in his big fight history. Maybe its just me but it seems like bernard hopkins loses the big fights where there is no change in weight.

just look at, theres really only one exception and that joe calzaghe, but other than that, hes beat anyone who come up to challenge him, and the one time he moved up, he won.

With that said, look at his losses.

Jermain Taylor, Roy Jones- Calzaghe is an exception

These fighters beat him........ but the one thing that thses fights have in common is that they were already in hopkins weightclass when they fought.

it seems like hopkins has made a career out of beating up the little guy.

so the question here is: would bernard hopkins beat chad dawson, or would history sort of repeat itself?

IDK, I dont give the weight issue too much thought. Bernard is just a great fighter, who took too long to find his success and ended up having to prove his greatness well past his prime.
At this point I could see either guy winning the match. Hopkins really is old though, the youngest 44 year old on the planet he is still ten years removed from the age most guys start to slow down. Dawson, IMO, will become a great fighter in his own right, so I wouldnt be surprised to see him take a close decision.
The fact that a 44 year old man would only lose a close decision to a young champ like Dawson speaks volumes about his true greatness.

B-Hop's losses were to UNDEFEATED fighters with better than average hand speed....with that said, Chad fits the script. The weight **** has nothing to do with it homie.....its the styles!!! If you're not countin' the Calzaghe fight....then by your books Hopkins should run over Chad.....Chad's a southpaw.......the ONLY southpaw to beat B-Hop is Calzaghe

you do realize hopkins spent his entire career at middleweight and now suddenly a guy who spent his entire career at supermiddle is smaller? ooooooo hopkins had 2 fights at light heavy that makes him a natural light heavy cause you say so. roy jones must be a natural heavyweight according to you.
