Verno Philips hires a new trainer

Breaking new from a site that talks about boxing, Philips has hired a new trainer Danny Smith and will get right back in the thick of things with the Kirkland's, Dzinziruk's, Angulo's, Martinez's Julio's, Chavez's & Williams's of the 154 division.

On a side note, Cory Spinks has reunited with Kevin Cunningham.

154 is stale enuf that Verno might still be able to grab anotha belt before he walks. I hope so. Verno seems like a cool cat.

I agree. I think he beats the Kirklands, Angulo's, and Martinez's of the world still at his advananced age.
