Yeah, agreed... he just says that for like you said, entertainment, and it is working... he has been retired for 6-7 months now... and he is still the main name people are using on this forum. No doubt Floyd is a great fighter, and no doubt Floyd talks a lot... but there is a reason behind it, and maybe saying these things help him gain confidence... people have different ways of doing it. It is funny how people get shall I say... "angry" when Floyd says these things in interviews because it's just talk, boxing is a business... and hes doing business.

And even if Floyd thinks he is the greatest of all time... why do you people care so much? If you don't like him then you shouldn't give a **** about what he says or thinks... he has his opinion, you have your opinion... whatever you want to think you can think it.

Yes people think what they think and this is a boxing message board and they post their thoughts. So if they say, "**** Mayweather for saying this" then that's that.

His pfp status had more to do with his 0, than it had to do with his resume and accomplishments. Look at Calzaghe's resume. The best fighters on his resume are 2 washed up legends, yet he is ranked #2 pfp in the world just because he is undefeated. Some would argue he is #1.

That's not completely true and you know it. P4P is all about what you have done lately. Pacman can't be on the list unless he is on a winning streak against other top fighters in his division or around his division.

Floyd more or less started moving up the P4P rankings due to his collecting of world title belts in different weight classes. It started with the Castillo wins and then the Arthuro Gatti ass whoopin for the WBC 140 belt. Then the Judah and Baldomir wins for the WBC/IBF 147 belts. At that point....both RJJ and Hopkins lost fights and he moved ahead of them to #1.

That's how it always goes, usually it's hard to knock a P4P #1 fighters off the top until he losses.

He usually weighs about 160 on the night of the fight... that's light middleweight/middleweight. Just my opinion though... I think if you cant fight at the weight you shouldn't be at the weight.

Listen, EXCEPT for the heavyweight division, all fighters below have a weight division and a WALK AROUND weight. That's just the way it is.

And some can lose more weight then others so they fight at a lower weight class. Most cruiserweights are really walking around above 200 and could well be heavyweights but wouldn't be considered BIG heavyweights. Most light-heavyweights could be cruiserweights but because they have the ability to get to 175 without any problems, they fight there.

That's just the way boxing is. If you can cut the weight and be on the weight limit at the weigh in, you deserve to fight there. Period.

When your the best fight of a certain era/decade, people will compare you to other greats in other eras.
