Strange thing about Johnson is he comes off one of two ways, and they are polar opposites.

He is either way to hyped up over what he is commentating, or he comes off as forced.

Both are extremely biased against certain fighters and come across as poor sports (poor losers). Every time someone who they don't like defeats one of their favorites, they call it a robbery or an early stoppage - and they often convince some of the viewers! Bernstein and Farhood were saying Sam Peter quit against Vitali because of the scorecards being read at the end of the 8th round, but his promoter Dino Duva then said in the post-fight interview they decided to stop the fight because 1) Peter was taking a beating and 2) they wanted to save him for another day.

Wasn't he the only decent thing about the Showtime broadcast team throughout the years?

Yes, Albert was better than Bernstein and Farhood.

A better team would be Gus Johnson and Steve Albert.

Steve Albert will be missed a lot, he was a great announcer.

I think Bersteins way of calling fights has got to Albert, i know theres times i can't stand hearing Berstein talk.

I am surprised that there are so many fans of the Showtime commentators. I always thought they were rather boring to be honest and certainly felt more entertained watching HBO. I always thought that Showtime should have added Mike Tyson to their team as the third man to bolster their team a bit.

Gus is the greatest sports commentator of all ****ing time dudes. This is going to be insane. Check out his highlights (in case for some ****ed up reason you don't watch March Madness)
