Why Wont David Haye take on a real contender before Klitschko?

I thought it was ok for someone who was a champion to go up in weight and fight a champ...Pacquiao did it....Marquez did it....Mayweather has done it. I don't see why Haye is getting hate for doing so as well.

Why? His only fights at heavyweight have been against Polish bum Tomasz Bonin and shot 37 year old nobody Monte Barrett. Monte, not long ago was knocked out in 2 rounds by Cliff Couser.
