I'm thinking that Shane's best chance is to use his quicker speed to beat Tony to the punch, and then tie him up and "stink it out".

I don't think Mosley will win, but that may be his best chance.

Mosley excels in the exchanges, he's more of a slugger than boxer, but he can't do that against Margarito. He has to conserve his energy, as most older guys do. That's part of why he clinches so much more nowadays. Margarito's workrate and stamina are insane.

And you know what, Miguel's biggest flaw was that he didn't clinch; he really tried to outfight Tony (while using movement, cuz he had no choice). Props to Miguel for coming to fight. I agree, Shane's best chance is if he holds; he's a pretty strong dude, so he might be able to do a, "Ricky Hatton" on Tony. I'm gonna have to watch that first Vernon fight. I believe, when Shane got hurt in that fight it was with a body shot followed by a hard right hand or uppercut while Vernon had him on the ropes. I can see that happening again.

Just watched parts of the Forrest vs Mosley I fight. It was a right over the top and an uppercut that staggered Mosley, then an uppercut, right hand combo that put him down while he was on the ropes. Later in the fight, a body punch really hurt Shane. Granted, Forrest was a much faster puncher at the time, Shane has slowed some and Margarito is a fighter of similar stature as Vernon. I think Tony can make those uppercuts work pretty damn effectively against Shane in this fight, not to mention the body attack. I might feel guilty watching Shane get the BEATDOWN.

I just learned that word this morning. Anyway, I've always liked Shane; I enjoy watching him fight and he's a class act. I really can't root against the guy. As a matter of fact, I've always rooted for him except maybe the second Oscar fight. This time I'm pulling for my man, Antonio Margarito though. Bets anyone? Yeah, it's Tony's time. Too bad Shane's gonna be on the receiving end in this one. They're gonna need the ShamWow® in Shane's corner to clean him up on Jan 24.
