I really wanted to see Victor Ortiz vs Ricky Hatton

Ortiz had some trouble with Dario Esalas, a big ass Colombian kid. Alot tougher then Hatton, Bojado even had a hard time with em. Ortiz kept his composure and took him out, Bojado fended him off all night with skill and punch placement.

Ortiz can take Hatton.

point here, my slightly ******ed friend, is Ortiz has not been tested by a recognized elite fighter. hatton only lost once, and that's to the consensus #1 p4p fighter.

im not saying that ortiz has no chance againts hatton. the kid can punch. but i still think he should fight one of the top 140 fighters. i think torres, holt, or malignanaggi should be a good test for him to prove what the kid's got.

Would have been a great fight to launch Ortiz on the scene. Another reason why I think Ortiz should have stayed with Toprank. They know Hatton's weak, lol thats why they're puttin Paq in there with him without even thinkin twice about Paq's saftey.

But if Paq wins, lol what is he gonna hold down the 140 division? Or bait and fish for another flawed fighter? I mean Hatton is good, but not that good. He's like the David Diaz of 140, only Hatton's chin may be worse and his offense is probably slightly better.

I really would have loved to see Ortiz take whats rightfully his, and thats 140. Paq was annoying before with his cherry picking and exploitation of our old legends, lol but now he's denying our young guys. lol This is some f#$%ed up ****. lol Someone knock this over-rated guy out already

as i said, ortiz is good but he has not been tested yet. he could be a future p4p-er or just another hype job.

if you honestly think ortiz is ready for hatton, i think you should start watching boxing more and not just focus on mexican boxers.

Nah, I think Vargas suffered the injuries he did against Tito cause not only was he fightin the p4p hardest hitter around that time, but he fought him with his head and chin completely UP. Vargas' chin wasn't tucked and Vargas didn't roll his head or shoulders when those hooks came ala Bernard Hopkins/Margarito.

One thing that scares me about that Oxnard style, is the defense. Theres quite a few openings. I'm sure they train to keep the gloves up, but alot of their fighters can't do that all the time. There will be moments when their fighters drop the gloves. Thats when you gotta have that natural insticnt to roll your skull/upper body with a punch when you notice your hands are down.
