Should there be less world titles in each weight class?

I read a report on a thread a couple of days ago were Joe Calzaghe explained how boxing was a "dying sport" (which I disagree with)... However he also said that there are too many world titles in each weight division as there are I believe 4. this is something I agree with, and I think there should be less world titles in each weight category, making it more competitive, and it would make the winner of each weight division more clear and give them more respect. What do you think?

    Vote on the Poll!!

    Thanks.

It is kind of like asking "should there be world peace?" It sounds great, but we have pretty much no chance of it actually eventuating.

Depends where you're at, in philadelphia, and Jersey boxing is far from dead. But I can't speak for all parts of America.

Suppose your right there... It would be nice though, I think it would make all the weight divisions more competitive, do you?

          I'd love world peace!

8 people have said 'Yes!' so far!

there should be three belts instead of 4 say you have the wba, wbc, and ibf belts if the wba and wbc had a unification there would be a clear contender the person with the ibf belt

of course...1 title per division...how can you have more than 1 person claiming to be champ in a division..then the santioning bodies wont let them unify..and even if you got all the belts its impossible to keep them all...jermain started off with 5 belts then by time he lost to pavlik..he had 2

Most people would agree that there should be less sanctioning bodies.

                    I voted yes. Of course.

World peace would be nice also.
