Margarito is fighting in a division in which he's clearly bigger and stronger than 99% fighters in it.

James Toney has ballooned himself all the way to Heavyweight from Middleweight, and your only criticism is him being "hurt" against a devastating puncher in Samuel Peter when he was 40 years old. That's laughable.
Then why are non heavyweights in this poll? For his weight class Margarito takes sicker shots then Toney ever has. I consider Margarito having a better chin then Toney because he takes the worst shots.

I'm not discrediting Toney for going up to heavyweight, it's fantastic that he can and he has an amazing beard. Pound for Pound, it's Margarito though.

Who has Sam Peter really hurt on a big time level? I mean he hurt Toney and Maskeav, but he still doesn't have devastating power.

Doesn't bode well for young David.
That uppercut was vicious. I voted Vitali too, and I'de put Calzaghe and James Toney over Margarito. Joe gets points for getting up and winning after knockdowns and Toney for everything he's done in a long career and his recent stuff at heavyweight. Sam Peter may not move so well, but the man can undoubtedly hit.

You can ask yourself the same question.

Who has Santos hurt on a big time level? I mean, other than Margarito of course.

Peter also knocked down and hurt Wlad several times.

I really don't comprehend how you can say Margarito, on a pound for pound scale has a better chin than Toney, when Toney is just a Super Middleweight with 50 pounds of excess fat on him, taking punches from hard hitting Heavyweights. On the other hand, the only other division Margarito has ventured to, Jr. Middleweight, he got rocked like a rock star.

I've gotta go with Librado Andrade. The man smiles at killshots and keeps stalking and pressing. He's a bigger Margarito. Biggest chin, however, goes to Jose Luis Castillo. I think he had extra bone in there.

There is like a million threads like this, so once again Antonio Margarito, Arthur Abraham, Glenn Johnson, Stevie Forbes, Joshua Clottey, Andrey Tsurkan, Verno Phillips, Paul Williams, Bernard Hopkins, James Toney just to name the few that come to mind.
