    Replacement Knuckles for Boxers?

There seems to be a new procedure available that replaces knuckles with a very hard graphite type substance which is also used in the space shuttle.

I wonder if this would be allowable for fighters with brittle hands i.e. Malignagi, Mayweather.

Sounds disgusting... but it might find its way into the sport. I wish they'd allow surgery for Wolverine blades into boxing.

I vote against any body modification to help you get better at a sport

I'm being serious here. For fighters who have bad hands this could be a possible way for them to stay viable in boxing for longer. Although I dont know if the procedure would stand up to the pounding a fighter puts his knuckles through.

Doesn't Cotto have a titanium rod in his shoulder or arm from the car accident he was in?

Is it modification if you need it, i.e. as you broke your hand multiple times, or is it a medical procedure.

Modification seems to imply to me a certain vanity and is not necessarily needed which may not be the case for many who could benefit.
