after fighting ike ibeabuchi tua's training and conditioning went to about 66%, no higher. he started coming into fights bigger and bigger, his punch out put diminished to next to nothing, at least compared to his early fights, and his motivation just got lost.
tua, back in the day was a beast, i think he left a lot in the ring with ibeabuchi, and same with ike, he was never really the same after their fight too. from how i see it, tua dug down deep and gave his all and came up short, and he doesn't want to go through that again, and i think somewhere he doesn't know it, but it's what has made his choices for him since and how his career made out to where it's at, tua doesn't want to go to that place again, and it's showed in his physical shape, mental shape, as well his performances. it's kind of sad, because i like tua, i think he could've really made a good run at being a champion, he had the punch, he used to have the out put, and he most certainly had the chin. just lacked the focus in a few crucial areas.
