Calzaghe made a bunch of succesfull defenses in his country and fought a very long career
he unified a division and coulda retired then but he took a big risk went to a foreign country and challenged the best and defeated them all while remaining undefeated and never losing class
in the other hand mayweather was a hyped boxer that took lil risks and always disrespected his opponents he kept getting fatter so he had to move up in weight class when he finally gained the spotlight on boxing by defeating a shot de la hoya
he embarrased boxing by doing pro wrestling and **** then he finally retired never leaving his country or taking a minimun risk

you forgot to add "IN EUROPE" in your title.....he took a "big risk"? coming to a foreign country to fight "the best and defeated all" come on he waited 15 years to leave europe and he fought all great fighters that where dying out....mayweather won titles in 5 different weight classes....chumps or not.....Calzaghe couldnt even beat chumps in 4 other weight classes....PERIOD!!
