    Make pay-per-views special!

I think most people agree that there are too many PPV's, especially ones with lame cards.

The reason they should make less are the following:

    1) Every ppv event is 'just another ppv', ppv's should be hugely hyped and for special occations only, most people are more likely to buy it if they believe they are going to witness a great and rare event, not just your average lineal title fight.

    2) People will watch less streams illegally, increases viewer ratings

    3) Do i pay money to see a 2 good teams play eachother at football/backetball? You may argue the money needed to pay boxers is needed but dont forget that top soccer players can earn 6 figure salaries A WEEK! So why would boxing get a short straw on this?

    4) The undercard fighters will become more well known than they are now, causing more hype for the future (and therefore perhaps more ppvs)

PPV's should be for either unification belts or for 'big clashes' (calzaghe hopkins, pacman hatton etc)

A 'big clash' does not include the likes of valuev vs holyfield.

    Anyone agree?

Most lame cards are orchestrated by Golden Boy. I remember the Don King cards of the nineties....gangsta!!!!

If they did less PPV's and made the cards better/more important, I might be inclined to order a few of em.

the reason why there was so many ppvs was because the fighters were counting on their fanbase to pull through for them and buy the fight. but with a bad economy they are at the mercy of hbo again.

            Sky over here are worse!

Khan Vs Alex Arthur & Big Mac Vs Banks being sold PPV status on the strength of Cotto's next fight, disgrace, i shall be capping it at all good boxing sites so no fecker has to pay Frank Warren a penny to see this! This should be a Saturday Night Fight Night like we used to have
