You need to have Vanes teach Vic some manners.
That dude seriously goes overboard. I think he thinks he's Miranda.
He should beat Arce fairly easy though.
I'd like to see him against Montiel or Donaire again.
Bet your pretty amped for the fight coming up.

Vanes needs to get better fights. They've brought him along slowly, but by now he needs somebody somewhere near the top 10. It's not like his division has a whole lot of tricky veterans. Outside of Forrest, Williams, Spinks and Martinez I think Vanes matches up well with the top 20 at 154 in terms of talent, ring savy and experience level. Kirkland and Angulo just shot by Vanes last year. That shouldn't have happened. Vanes should have been right there with those guys.

Vanes-Angulo would be ideal but they been bringing Olympians along slowly these days.

Andre Ward is finally in a pretty good fight.

I like Sugar Poo, but Ward needs better fights than that. I don't have a problem with that fight because at least he's staying active, but he still hasn't even fought a top 10 guy in the division. And the thing about it is he might be the best fighter in the division in terms of talent, but he has **** for experience.

This dude should fight Verno Phillips in his next fight.

Yeah those are the types of fights Vanes needs right now. We already know he'll shutout or KO any non-world class fighter they put him in with and he's matched up with a lot of styles. He needs world class experience now.

I agree with most of what you say bro... but again its the age factor, and Vanes is only 22...

both Angulo and Kirkland are a few years older... so Vanes has a bit more time to mature into bigger fights.

I assure you though... those bigger fights against experienced veterants are coming toward mid 2009...

someone that has fought both mosley and margarito...
