how was a part time fighter like oscar #1 at 154? Ring Magazine ranked him #5 at the time. Ahead of him were Spinks, Forrest, Karmazin, Alcine at the time.

someone that fights for money, trash talks every opponent, and can stink the joint out, compared to a humble but great and exciting fighter. like the great mexican Nacho Libre would say You craaaaazzzzzy.

everyone works for money, but i prefer a humble champ that fights for his people. isn't that a better role model.

For a professional athlete to be motivated by money and money only is really dissapointing. Especially someone as naturally gifted, and talented as Floyd.

His whole reason for retirement was because the sport of boxing didn't bring him joy.

He is miserable as a fighter, its like people who go to work everyday and hate their job...sure the only reason they do it is for the money, but those are the worst type of employees to have.

Based on your original question regarding who's searching for better fights that fans want to see it's obviously Pacquiao, hands down. He's now taking on Ricky Hatton, which is a more evenly matched fight now than Hatton vs. Floyd was, being that it's at 140 and Hatton is reinvigorated with Floyd, Sr. in his corner.

Pacquiao fought Marquez, moved up to fight Diaz, moved up two more divisions to fight De La Hoya, and is now fighting Ricky Hatton. All he has to do after Hatton is perhaps go back to Lightweight and fight two or three fights there, if Floyd doesn't come out to fight him.

Even if Pac-Man loses to Hatton, which is highl possible, he can still make great fights at Lightweight with guys like Marquez, Campbell and Juan Diaz.
